It has been some time since I was an active participant in JavaRanch. In the meanwhile a lot of things transpired, such as Richard Monson-Haefel recently ceasing being a Java activist and switching to "neutrality" instead (as per his blog).

Since, Richard is a moderator in this group, I wonder if he has a couple of words to spare wrt to this change in allegiance. Actually, this move happens to be temporally quite close to those of Erich Bloch and Adam Bosworth moving from Sun and BEA respectively to Google. To wit, we have three people moving from the core of the J2EE camp either to the periphery or to outright positions of neutrality. Does this portend something? Is the $$$ behind the J2EE camp not sufficient to keep the top people around anymore?

Thanks,
Panagiotis.
