For the SCDJWS, should I care about the HTTP conformance rules in WS-I specification?
I think the test objectives only advise to catch up on SOAP,WSDL,UDDI and XML!!
Please can anyone advise me.

Yes, you have to know that part (objectives 2.3 and 2.5). The HTTP binding for SOAP is very central and it is the most used binding to date. I would strongly advise you to have a look at it

I feel the exam expected us to know WSI conformance for HTTP as well. I guess there is no harm for reading (or scanning) it for once.

Do you reckon I should go through the JAX-RPC spec, if I do not have access to the RMH -J2EE Web services book.

It depends on your knowledge. I havent read through any Web services spec. I have read RMH, and the blueprint book, together with MZ's notes.
I will share my experiences on both exams (beta and live), maybe tonite, or tomorrow, as I am going to retake this exam later in today.
