preparation for scdjws.

I an thinking of doing this exam. The way I prepared myself for the other exams was reading the right book(f.e. Head First EJB for scbcd) and doing some mock exams (f.e softscbcd or whizlabs).
Which is THE book to read for this exam and are there mock exams out there which are good. I saw that whizlabs did not have any mock exams. Are there any other good mock exam providers.
And which book is right. I want a book that I can read which covers exactly the topics of this exam. No more no less if possible. I do not want to read specs or read multiple books because that takes to much time. Please advice.

RMH's J2EE Web Services is the best suit book for SCDJWS.

There is no such book currently, as Kathy and Bert are not going to write their HF SCDJWS, and there is no book that specific for this exam.

If you really need such a book, you may wait till the book to be released.

Ok, thx for the info sofar. The RMH book is best suited. I looked at it and it contains 900 pages. The other book for this examen only has 400 - 500 pages (Designing Web Services with the J2EE(TM) 1.4 Platform : JAX-RPC, SOAP, and XML Technologies) . Does this mean it does not contain all the necessary stuff.Or is the book not so good or madifficult to read. To my opinion 500 pages are more then enough to read.
Any ideas on when whizlabs will release their mocks?

I imagined that there would not be a HF JWS for quite some time as they are coming out with HF Design patterns next and then, well, I dunno what after that. But do you know that there will never be one for JWS?

Since the books focus on different aspects, which none of them are focus on the exam, and thus, they contain different number of pages.

The blueprint focus on high level of Web Services issues, and design, while RMH focus on low level of Web Services implementation.

500 pages in fact is too less for understanding Web Services. If you take a look on all related specifications, they contains more than thousands of pages.

If you dont wanna to read so much, you may consider only refer to MZ's note:

while the missing topics can be refered to RMH.

Honestly, I read 3 books to get a pass in the 2nd attemp. Thus, I dont think there are any shortcuts for passing SCDJWS without reading enough information. This is the most tough exam I have come across.

Should be around Nov or Dec 2004.

considering the number of certifications that you have taken and the number of assumptions ranchers can make, the probability that we could predict the result is very less..

It is not difficult to guess in fact.

You guys focus on Java-related certs, however, my highest score obtained was from Oracle9i 1Z0-031 Fundemental I, with 100%.

Oh! we cannot see it, cos it's in OCA track, isn't it? You just list your OCP, in which OCA is living...

However, OCA is the sub-certificate of OCP.

Without OCA, I cant get OCP.
