Hi
Do I need web app server to develop and test webservices? Can I test this with tomcat?
which book has simple steps to execute a simple webservice script.

You need Java WebServices Developers Pack (JWSDP) version 1.3 from Sun Microsystems' web-site. Tomcat is not enough.
