Hi,
How to build and deploy web service in JavaWebservice Development kit?

For creating a sample webservice i created an interface, class for this interface, web.xml and jaxrpc-ri.xml based on "Sams teach yourself web services in 24 hours book".

then how to build and deploy it.

In book it mentioned me to execute ANT commands to building and to executing. But ANT build script is not given. Please me a way.

Thanks in advance,
Yamini

If you download the JSWDP,Everything comes with it and it depends which server you are using like in SUN we have command WSComplie.bat which will generate all xml files and necessary supported files foe an web services. So you need to refer your Application Server notes. In Sunone we have wsdeploy.bat which will deploy the web service also.

So i will recommend refer your application server notes/guide.

Do we need Application server also along with Webservice development kit.
After installing webservice development kit it also installed tomcat.

Is this tomcat not enough to run webservice.

tomcat is fine, provided you have the latest version.Actually while installing toolkit we get an pop-up to install the app server. So tomcat is fine.

Inside tomcat you will see there will batch file like wscomiple.bat and wsdeploy.bat .If you r using solaris or unix then .sh files will be there. These files should help you in deployment.
