I have 2+ years of experience working with XML and XSL. Apart from this I have a good understanding of W3C XML Schema and XPath and basic work exposure to SAX and DOM parsers using Java. I was wanting to know whether it is advisable to prepare for SCDJWS. How long will it take for a person of my background to train well for SCDJWS?

Well, it also depends on your available time to dedicate for the certification... If you are a full-time employee, then you also have to share your time with your work... Then the preparation time will get longer... Normally, IMO, with full-time work and according to your background, you might need about TWO months to polish everything up and get ready for the exam... That's just my guess... You might be able to do it better...

Thanks for the reply. I am a full-time employee... but I spend time to train my self rigorously. I started preparing for IBM XML test 141 and thought probably on completing that I could take up SCDJWS.
