How hard is SCDJWS?

Hi, I'd just like to have your comments on this. How hard do think is the web service certification in comparasion to the scjp and the scwcd? Personnaly, I thought scjp was not very difficult, I scored 88% on it a year ago. I recently took the scwcd exam and studied a whole lot more than for the scjp certification and got 76%. I thought it was very difficult mainly because of all the concepts to remember. Do we need to learn a lot of things by heart for the SCBCD?

SCDJWS covers lots of areas, and you need to remember them, such as BP, UDDI concepts, etc. You also need to know how to write codes for developing Web Services, and thus, it is not an easy exam.

I am afraid there is no easy answer here. I knew the material for SCWCD fairly well because of my work experience and therefore, ended up scoring quite high.
I am finding that the amount of material that SCJDWS covers is significantly more than SCWCD. Also, most of it is new to me since my experience with Web Services is quite limited. Most importantly, I work in E Business Security and therefore, want to learn the security aspects of the Web Services very well. There in lies the challenge. If you want to do well on a few topics in Web Services,then it is much more demanding than the other tests. If you just want to pass, it is easy.

Well, Alex I'm afraid we cannot compare different certs in different field like this easily... While SCJP is entry level cert, someone needs to know about those things first to sit for the SCWCD... Anyway, I even feel like SCWCD is easier than SCJP, which actually may not be the case for those who are new to JSPs and Servlets...

I took SCWCD when I had little-to-none experience with JSP/Servlets and I thought the test was easier than SCJP (which I also took when I had little-to-none experience). I took the WS beta with no previous experience and failed, so I say this exam is more difficult than the other two. A lack of good study books was probably the biggest issue though.
