Hi All,

I am having a hard time getting started with JWS. I tried both JWSDP and AXIS. What I feel missing is a documentation about building a simple WS client and server and building them.

The ant scripts provided JWSDP do not seem to work for me. Can you provide some pointers/links to get me started quickly. I am getting frustrated because I am not making enough progress.

Any help is appreciated.

regards
Vrinda

Go to www.javaworld.com and look at the articles in the Enterprise --> Web Services section. There's good introductory material. You might also check out DeveloperWorks at IBM - that site has plenty of material as well.

Thanks Ulf. However, I am not finding any link that describes how to perform the build and deployment of the web services in a step by step manner with respect to a particular runtime. Appreciate if you can share anything that you know of.

regards
Vrinda

Start with this article or this one. The latter has links to another four-part series in the Resources section.

I've added a number of links to the Web Services FAQ.
