Another preparation advice

hi

just an advice to those ranchers: if you prepare for SCDJWS and do not have real-life experience yet, start with the blueprints, as they are easy to read an do a very good job to introduce you to the big picture. After that, you can proceed to MZ study guide (which is damn good, thanks for your effort, MZ) and the RMH book, which are both very hard to study when you dont yet have an overview and the necessary vocabulary.

i passed with 84% and lost much at UDDI, which (to me) was not at all interesting and consequently hard to remember.

good luck to all of you.

Thank you for your advice.

I am wondering which tool (Axis,SUN Java Web Services Developer or IBM Rational Application Developer 6) is good for practicing web services? In my future,I will use RAD 6 as development platform.I am not sure whether it is helpful for my study to use RAD 6 to run some web services programs.

Hi,

Could you please give me pointers to the J2EE blue print? I have started my preparation with RMH book and MZ's study guide. Please suggest me if I had to start with blueprints first?

Thanks in advance,

Uwe, thanks for sharing

Did you use any mock exam/software? How was it?

Any other material you used, in addition to MZ, RMH, and BluePrint?

You have no experience with java web services before this?

Uwe,
If we have an idea of webservices and working experince with JAXP.
Does "MZ study guide" or still RMH is needed. Even though I have RMH, I am thinking in term of finishing exam faster by avoiding reading thick book, while I have a more understanding of subject. I belive RMH is more usefull from implementation point of view.

Please suggest.

jignesh, just an idea,

based on my experience on previous exams,

even if you have 20 years work experience, you can still fail the exam.

this is because the topics you use at work is not always same as the exam topics.
