Hi Mikalai Zaikin,

I have planned to take SCDJWS exam. I am new to web services. Whetehr your material required any basic understanding in web services? Whether your notes will be quick reference guide after reading some web services book? I have also planned to buy J2EE Web Services by RMH. Whether I have to complete the entire book first and then come back to your notes will be useful?

Let me know your suggestions on it?

And also usually how long it takes for preparing SCDJWS for the candidate, who have been already completed SCJP 1.4 and SCWCD 1.4.

Though, I know it depends upon the person and the time, he spends on it and since SCDJWS covering a wide range of topics, if a person gives 2 hrs/day for 5 days(week days) and 6 hrs for 2 days(week end).. how long it will take? (though it seems to be a RS Agarwal's aptitude qns, pardon me )

Hi !

You need to have good WS basics understanding before you read my notes.

The recommended plan is (just a suggestion, you can create your own) :

1) RMH book (a MUST !)
2) My notes
3) BluePrints
4) RMH book
5) My quiz

If you have time - look through WS-I Basic Profile 1.0 (RMH book, my notes and quiz cover BP as well).

When you read all mentioned material - you are ready for exam. For the preparation length - estimate yourself how much time you need to read carefully the aforementioned material. From 2 to 4 months, probably.

regards,
MZ
