I did SCJP/SCWCD/IBM XML/IBM OOAD/IBM J2EE cerifications back in 2000-01 then I went back to school for my higher studies.

Now when I am back in market, I find that web services are big hit. Right now my new project is about web services and I thought that if I could take this certifcation, it would help me in understanding web services.

My goal is not only certification but also understandin gconcepts and working knowledge but certification keeps me motivated.

So please tell me what resources I should look to understand web services. I do not care for some short 20-30 pages tutorial aimed specifically to exam but generally over all practical approach. A book that could help me in setting web services on my local host and understanding all the core concepts.Once i get concepts then I could look at certification goals.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

That link is a bit outdated; a current version is at ScdjwsLinks.
