Starter for SCDJWS

Hi all

I have read quite a good posts, and the faq links page too about how
to start for this exam.

Is the RMH book a point of start? Should I read it end to end?

Please guide.

RMH is the best place to start - however it can be a bit dry.

So you may want look and do some of the relevant J2EE/JWSDP tutorials at the same time to put things into perspective.

I downloaded the WS dev pack and the Tomcat 5.0. Will this server suffice all my learning?

No. That combination does not support SLSB based web services which are part of the exam. You will need the Sun Java System Application Server PE 8.2 (instead of the special tomcat 5 version) as was outlined in Which is the most suitable application server to prepare for SCDJWS?.

Thanks...I downloaded the server. Do I need to read RMH and the j2ee tutorial in parallel, like reading theory from RMH and doing some code etc from the tutorial?

Any suggestions on how to go ahead?
