Faisal , Bidyut , All the very best for the future. Keep handing in the forum. It should not happen , somebody won the contest & not turning to the forum upto the next contest. I hope all will participate in the same ferver with which you people particapted. Share the resources. Share the thoughts. Share the important links. share whatever you can. At some point of time in life , you will get the payback. Paul , Ajith , Frank , Tony , Carl , Angela , Mat , all have contributed tremendously. Not to forget ,all the bartenders & all the javaranchers. The Certification study thread has become one of the biggest , greatest resource sharing place on web for java.
Lets make other forums also the same. lets work together to make this best place.
Vishakha , Congrats. So , you have to work carefully & very hard , as you know it is no cakewalk to pass this exam. So , start charting the path to be successful in exam.
Thanks to all , appreciating the success of ours. Thanks Anil Tony , Ajith , Frank. thanks. This is greatly needed.

Hi, you lucky winners!
Regarding whether the voucher will cover all three parts or not - I don't know. I am not involved in the book (& voucher!) giveaways so I was assuming it would be a "normal" Sun voucher that covers one $150 test.
I'll ask around and find out.

Paul Wheaton says (so it must be true! ) that the voucher covers all of the SCEA. That's great! I think that calls for a real big CONGRATULATIONS to the winners and a big THANKS to JavaRanch and Sun.

There has nothing worthwhile that you guys do here. just ***(Edited by JOW3) and making gossip.
for no reason some of you have got (at least dreaming of getting) the vouchers.
I wish instead of talking all these junk, u guys would have discussed something sensible.
I was little late and missed the bus,
anyway I have some questions, if some of you can throw some light:
1: why there is no unsetSessionContext() in SessionContext Interface?
2: why return types are of type EJBObject in home interface, and in bean its PK object?
3: why return null, in ejbCreate() in CMP.
that's for now.
tnx

Avijeet , You are participant of this forum for a long time & you are using such terminolgies, Which is very sad . I think you don't want the place to be friendly place.

THE BAD LANGUAGE THAT YOU ARE USING , I THINK ANY TECHNICAL PERSON WILL NOT BE TALKING. SUCH KIND OF LANGUAGE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THIS FRIENDLY PLACE.
If you would have been the winner , will that would be your reaction ? It is really unfortunate to listen such a language from the person coming from Silicon Valley Of India.
I think if such language is being used by you , your account will be disabled & you will not be able to particiapte in the forum.
I hope you will comply with the regulations of the forum & maintain the decorum. Now , You decide .

Your Friendly Bartender
Shailesh.

Hey, Avijeet.
Please don't be too frustrated with the folks in this thread. Just some folks celebrating that they won a giveaway at JavaRanch. BTW, I did edit your post a bit.
Here's an answer for question 3 (from Enterprise JavaBeans, 2nd ed., pages 168-170):
For CMP the return value of ejbCreate is ignored (since the container is really doing the work under the covers). The return type was changed from void in EJB 1.0 to the primary key in EJB 1.1 to help subclassing. It makes it easier for a BMP bean to extend a CMP bean.

Here you have your answer to question No. 2.
2: why return types are of type EJBObject in home interface, and in bean its PK object?
The Bean isn't a remote object so it returns to the container, this one, uses the PK to search for the component in the pool and then it returns the remote reference to the client as an EJBObject type.

I've had to edit a few posts in the past, so I'm just trying to be consistent in when and how I edit something. I would like to keep the forums I moderate as friendly as possible and not all people look on profanity in the same manner.
