Passing part II

Hi all,
I'm fed up. A friend and colleague of mine studied for a week for the Part 1 exam and passed with 95% He knew nothing about UML before he started. He spent just over a week working on Part 2 and has passed with 92%. He scored 100% on the component diagram without really knowing anything about component diagrams.
I spent 2 weeks solid study for 89% in part 1 and then spent 4 months working really hard on part 2. I've not heard yet if I've passed or failed but I'm really worried that I either won't pass or that I'll pass with a miserable score. I think that I'm intelligent and I'm really good at exams but I look insignificant compared to him. I learnt a lot in a relatively short space of time and I've no doubt that if I started the assignment again I would do a better job, but still I feel like a failure.
My only comfort is that he only scored a point more than me in the Developer Certification (mid you, he only spent two weeks on that and scored 147)
BTW. I am genuinely pleased for despite sounding so bitter and twisted.

Amanda, it sounds like your friend is an insensitive clod. Clearly he should have taken your feelings, not to mention the feelings of the rest of us in this community, into account and failed miserably after his meager efforts.
Seriously though, these certs are difficult and time consuming. And even though we are smart people, there are always going to be people who are smarter and better at certain things. We all get the same piece of paper in the end. And maybe, just maybe, it's the process rather than the end point that matters the most.

Hmm, my reply seemed a little terse because the BB stripped of my long sigh at the end of the first line.
Sighhhhhhhhhhh

Hi Amanda
I am constantly Watching your posts.
You written your friend passed in less time & less effort.
I even saw this.
My friends Passed MCSD & SCJP with less time like 1-2week study & scored batter %age then me.
I scored by a failure in One Paper in MCSD & in less %age in SCJP.
But I found My self better then those every field.
So I think One persons experience plays a role while coming out of certification.
I wish Best result for you.
Your Effort Experience & your %age combining put you in a batter position then any one else.
regards
Bidyut

Wow,
I have to say that your friend is probably a genius if he didn't steal or copy the work from someone who has passed it before. It is hard to believe someone could pass with 95% with only a week's preparation even if he was real good and has had a lot of work expeience. Examination is different from real work. I have to say he is a pretty smart guy.
I am impressed.
