great to hear from You , Vishakha. Congratulations . Great news.
All the very best for the rest of the parts.
Can I ask something ? In your section wise break up , you have mentioned the score as 40 % in legacy connectivity & 50 % in I18N , Security 50 % .
Can you explain on those areas ? what should be the things important in those areas ? your own analysis.
I think this will help many people going for the exam .

Hi Shailesh,
I just got 2 Qs each of I18n and security. So 1 right and 1 wrong gives me 50%. About legacy connectivity, i did not read much about it other than what ever notes are posted in this forum and obviously that isn't enough because I had qs in which legacy system was to be incorporated in various tiers of new system. Like if legacy system is a database or if it is an application or if it is a UI etc etc.

Hi Vidya,
For JMS refer John's notes in this forum and http://java.sun.com/products/jms/tutorial/ http://www.cs.unc.edu/~dewan/242/f96/notes/ipc/node9.html
Regarding Questions: I got some 5-6 questions on JMS. You need to know about the "Topic" and "Queue" interfaces, diff b/w point to point and pub/sub messaging techniques and purpose of using messaging. There are few questions in which JMS is one of the options in the answers and is the correct answer among others.
Hope this helps,
Vishakha.

Hi vidya,
for protocols, i just relied on John's notes and blue prints.
Design patterns, first i went through GOF book for basic understanding of patterns, then I read cooper to understand the applications of patterns in java. I got q's on proxy, observer, iterator and factory patterns.
Q's on UML were very easy. There are diagrams and they ask you what type of relation exists between certain classes or identify the type of diagram shown.
