All, Concepts..............100% Applicability of J2EE 100% EJB...................100% security............. 100% Protocols............ 100% EJB container model...75% Design patterns.......80% Common Architecure... 50% In18................. 50% Messaging............ 50% Legacy Connectivity.. 40% I was thinking to get a better score but I was really surprise by the High-Level Conceptual questions !!! DO NOT EXPECT FINDIND ANY J2EE API QUESTIONS !! To be honest, I don't think we need to study a lot to be prepare for it. If you have some EJB experience, you will be fine if you read, for example, John's note http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum26/HTML/000441.html You don't need to buy books as well . So What do we need to know ? 1) Know EJB well , not very detailed. Understand EJB lifecyle, activation, passivation concept... I would recommend to read J2EE BluePrint, EJB1.1 spec...don't buy EJB Monson-Haefel book...it is just redundant to EJB1.1 spec... 2)Design Pattern: 4 questions. (Proxy, iterator, Observer) http://www.patterndepot.com/put/8/JavaPatterns.htm is enough !! Which design pattern JDBC-Resulset implements : Bridge, iterator, composite, factory method ?
3) UML : 4 questions ...really easy !! Class diagram ( generalisation, realization) Sequence diagram (self-call, message) is enough.....you don't need the Martin fowler'book.... Read these link http://www.togethersoft.com/files/services/umlonlinecourse/ 4) In18/Security : untrusted applet and Cerficicates (high level question ) Read http://java.sun.com/sfaq/ A few questions with Firewalls, protocols. How Firewalls interfere with IIOP ? A lot of Architecture scenario questions where you have to read 10-15 lines each time.... Most of them had 7 possible options with only 2 correct answers....I don't want to freak you out ...but sometimes, in my opinion, the process by elimination didn't work.... What else ? ....Time frame. IMHO, ...really short !! I had only 3 minutes left to review the marked question... Well that' it !! .....let's move to part II NOW !! herve

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
