This week's book giveaway is in the Mac OS forum. We're giving away four copies of a choice of "Take Control of Upgrading to Yosemite" or "Take Control of Automating Your Mac" and have Joe Kissell on-line! See this thread for details.
Hello: I did scjp and scwcd too. I liked to take a scjd route beacuse I do not have enough java coding experience. If you have strong java coding experience why do you bother doing scjd? Good luck on SCJA ELSE welcome to SCJD land. -Bal

I think it's more about where you want to go with your career. Do you want to become a Senior Developer, actually continue programming ... then I think the SCJD is for you. or Do you want to get into Systems Architecture? Be expert on knowing how things work on a high level but not necessarily get into coding too much ... then SCJEA is the way to go. There are benefits to both. SCJD involves some knowledge of good design and includes some areas of Java you may not have covered in your studies for the other exams ... it really is about where you want to be.
Pounding at a thick stone wall won't move it, sometimes, you need to step back to see the way around.

Thank you very much. Actually I want to get both if I have more time. Any other opinion about my concern?
