I passed SCEA today. My score is too low. The test was difficult. There were a lot of long questions and over 5 choices in the exam. Some choice were similar and not easy to know the difference.
My suggetions about test:
1) make sure you know protocol and legacy system very well
2) know EJB lifecycle and difference between session and entity bean
3)know something about UML(I got about 5 question)
Thank you all.

Robin, or Anyone else who have taken the test,
For the questions where there are multiple answers, does it tell you how many to pick (just like the SCWCD and SCJP)?
Thanks!

thanks Mark. You helped me a lot during my preparation. I could concentrate more on the scenario questions, but long question left me little time to think. Some choices were so obscure
and looked like the same.
Anyway I am happy.

Phew, that was close, Robin. You just barely passed!
Glad you passed after that first false start. Congratulations!
If you regularly consult with the people here on Part II, hopefully, you'll pass by a safer margin.

Robin,
Have you contacted Sun yet? You need to have them give you permission and instructions on downloading the assignment.

Yes.
They are all the same. Or at least, it hasn't changed yet since the certification first came out.
Though they very recently (last week?) seem to have changed the grading criteria a bit from the 40% class diagram, 40% component diagram, 20% sequence/collaboration to 44%/44%/12%. In my opinion, this makes the exam a bit harder, because people usually score well on their sequence diagrams (I haven't heard of anyone doing collaboration diagrams yet).
So there will be much UML in your near future.

Hi Alex: I read a lot books and articles. Because my score is so low, my advice may not a good one.
EJB: "Enterprise Java bean" -by Richard. This book is very good. "Master EJB" made me confused,I do not recommend this book.
Security: java 2 network security
UML: UML user guide
international: java internationalization
protocol and legacy: articles from j2ee group
Most important: blueprint from SUN's web site.
Hope this can help.good luck.
