This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Bean Managed Transactions should be reserved for only those cases where Container Managed Transactions do not offer the flexibility necessary. In 90% of all cases CMT will get the job done, is easier, and more maintainable.
Great topic. Actually, I have a very small exp. on transaction management. So could I have some silly questions:
1. I see sometime, people start transaction in servlet and propagate to EJB. Why? 2. If transaction must be start in web tier, we must use BMT and java code for transaction management, is that right? 3. (my extra optional question ), I think CMT is good enought for FBN?
Anyway, I love CMT for many reason and I will point out in my doc.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
