In some scenario mock exam, the correct answers indicate must use BMT or CMT!
But how can we decide BMT or CMT? Maybe BMT do a good control (fine-granularity) than CMT? That's all?

Bean Managed Transactions should be reserved for only those cases where Container Managed Transactions do not offer the flexibility necessary. In 90% of all cases CMT will get the job done, is easier, and more maintainable.

Hello,

Great topic. Actually, I have a very small exp. on transaction management. So could I have some silly questions:

1. I see sometime, people start transaction in servlet and propagate to EJB. Why?
2. If transaction must be start in web tier, we must use BMT and java code for transaction management, is that right?
3. (my extra optional question ), I think CMT is good enought for FBN?

Anyway, I love CMT for many reason and I will point out in my doc.

THanks,
