Hi all, It's been a long time since I logged into this forum, almost 9 months ago, when I was preparing for Part I... I don't see any of those folks around. Time sure flies around quickly. Just decided that I'll make some time for Part II & III...Went through the requirements and have a few general questions to ask you folks. Can you please help me with it? 1. For Part II, should the old COBOL based legacy system be supported or do we throw it out of the design totally? 2. How long do I need to wait before I can take Part III? 3. How long does it take for Sun Microsystems to announce Part II results?
Been working with Micro$oft stuff for the last year or so and feeling a little rusty on my J2EE skills. Thanks in advance Sridhar

Hi Sridhar 1. For Part II, should the old COBOL based legacy system be supported or do we throw it out of the design totally? To answer this question you would be best to read the requirements for your assignment carefully. There is no guarantee that everyone's assignment is the same. It should state whether or not legacy systems should be reused. If not, then it is up to you to make a decision regarding which parts of the legacy system to reuse. 2. How long do I need to wait before I can take Part III? You can take Part III as soon as you have purchased your exam voucher and you have uploaded your Part II assignment. 3. How long does it take for Sun Microsystems to announce Part II results? It took Sun just over 5 weeks to mark my assignment. I have not received the results in the post yet but they have posted them on the certification website.

Thanks for the quick response, Meg. You have passed the certification yet you are helping us out. That is very nice of you. I guess Part III questions are not going to be specific to my design as I thought it to be. hmmm....it is not the same assignment for everyone then. My assignment does not say anything about reusing the existing System. I guess I won't bother with it then. Thanks again for your response, Meg.
