Here is the details:
Grade: P
Score: 91
Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual amount of points you were awarded. This information is provided in order to give you feedback on your relative strengths on a section basis. The maximum number of points you could have received is 100, minimum to pass is 70.
Class Diagram (44 maximum) .......................... 42
Component Diagram (44 maximum) ...................... 42
Sequence/Colloboration Diagrams (12 maximum) ........ 7
I lost about 40% on seuqnece diagram which is reasonable because I didn't pat much attention to it.
I was trying to give a detailed design when I started the assignment. But I finally realized I was not a developer anymore and should not concentrate on those trivias. I didn't design the application client. My whole focus was on the business tier.
This forum is helpful. But again, don't put too much effort on details. It's an architecture design, not the real implementation.
Thanks.

Congrats Edy, would it be possible for you to upload your design problem and the solution you presented to sun. This would give an idea as to what they expect as well provide some kind of reference for aspirants like me.

I am willing to answer the questions you may have or discuss any possible solutions with you.
But uploading my assignment is not considered an appropriate way and all the members of this forum should be against it.
Sorry, but I cannot do that.

Not only that but you would be breaking the legal agreement that you signed with Sun.
BTW, congratulations on passing the exam.

Hey Edy,
Congrats man! Splendid. Is there anything remaining from Java side for which u had not appeared?
Anyways..I belive ur right in ur approach of discussing and guiding the assignement issues rather than uploading. Its a right and professional way to do so.
anyways..no more philosophy!
Cheers and All the best!

Edy, congratulations !
Edy, could you tell how much time went between your part3 exam and results of part2-3?
Also, if it is not against exam restrictions, how much classes did you have in class/component diagrams? I have submitted assignment week ago and I'm still not sure what level of detalisation does sun expect of design.
Thanks,
Oleg Kolodin

Oleg, it took exactly 3 weeks for me to get the result posted on CertManager web site.
I have about 30 classes shown in my class diagram. The concentration was on the business tier. Really brief on the presention tier. I believe Sun expect you to use MVC in the presention tier, whether through an existing framework or soley designed by yourself.

I'm currently working on Part II myself, and I have two questions:
- Could you desribe roughly what you put into the
component diagram? I'm a bit unsettled about it
controbuting 40% of the total score. I don't really
know what to put into it, while on the other hand
I don't think one class diagram will be sufficient.
- What kind of question is asked in part III?
