I cleared SCEA-I with 85% last Friday. I am really thankful to all javaranchers and all those people who have made their notes public on this forum and on yahoogroups. It is really a good feeling to think that after finishing the process of preparation for the exam and then appearing in the exam, you get to learn a lot of things, atleast I can say this for myself. I have around 3 years of Java experience but have never worked with EJB, J2EE etc. The exam helps you to be focussed in your learning. I fully agree that there is no substitute to the experience that you gain while working on live projects under different constraints but I do feel that good understanding and knowledge can also give you a lot of strength in facing the live situations whenever you get the opportunity.
I am currently not working as I have an infant to take care of, during this time I want to keep myself in touch with the technologies and I consider these certifications as best way to learn and keep my self motivated.
Once again I would like to thank all the members of this ranch, especially the successful candidates who have written their valuable experiences. I would like to recommend to all those who are prepairing for part1 to read the messages which people write when they pass the exam.
I am thankful to the SCEA@Wiz team too for providing us with a wonderful question bank in the form of mock tests.
Could anyone please tell me how and where to begin the subsequent steps for SCEA.
Whom should I contact to download the assignment?
Which is the site from where I can see my account on the Sunsite regarding my progress in certifications.
Thanks and Regards,
Vibha.

Thanks a lot.
Faiza, I followed the book - Enterprise Javabeans by Richard Monson-Haefel to stude EJB. It has almost all the information regarding EJB that you must know from the exam's point.
Yes, you can ask me questions on my email address and I would be happy to help you if I could.
All the best to the aspiring candidates.

Vibha.

Hi Vibha,
Congrats on clearing the exam.!!! I am preparing for SCEA Part 1. I dont have any previous experience in EJBs. I would like to know if you used anything else other than the book Enterprise Javabeans by Richard Monson-Haefel?
Other than EJBs what are the other topics that Part 1 tests on?
Thanks in advance.
