Nothing else matters - Passed Part II/III

Hi,
it's amazing ! I got my result already 15 days after part III and passed with 90 %.
Class Diagram (44 maximum) .................... 44
Component Diagram (44 maximum) ................ 34
Sequence/Colloboration Diagrams (12 maximum) .. 12
I'm little bit surprised why I got only 34 for Component Diagram. I
will take a review on it.
I'll still be a member of this group for some weeks. So you can ask some questions if you want.

I am taking the part II of SCJA. I have a question on designing the client tier. It looks like from the requirement that I need to support both web client (i.e. JSP) and stand alone client (GUI based). I have done the class diagram and I don't really have any class that deals with client (is this right?). But when I move to the component diagram, I am not sure how to handle different clients. I have one starting from JSP to servlet to EJB and backend. Am I supposed to have another one that supports stand alone GUI client (basically EJB client)? I would appreciate any insight from all of you who have passed.

I submitted two class diagrams, one for web tier and one for business tier. Classes in the web tier showed the MVC architecture. The business class diagram extended the analyst's BDM. I provided no class diagram for client tier (Web client/Application client) but I showed them in the component diagram (but i got only 34). I submitted only one component diagram but I agree with your idea to provide two seperate component diagrams. Other people who passed submitted one component diagram for each use case. Anyway - I recommend to show the client components on the component diagram(s).
Yes, I used entity beans. I also described the reasons why I used entity beans for xyz.
