passed scea, but no certification

Is there anyone have same situation with me? I passed SCEA on DEC 14 2003, but I still cannot receive the certification, I am very worry about that.

I passed at Dec 11, 2003 and not yet received the certificate.
I have send email to SunCert@thomson.com and get this reply:
Thank you for contacting Prometric, a Thomson business.

Please go by what is in the Assignment Watcher (http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/) instead of the new Certification Database (http://www.certmanager.net/~sun). We are still in the process of updating the new database and some information is incorrect.

Unfortunately, certificates for SCEA and SCJD cannot be processed until the i-7 database is fully updated with the results.
We do not know when this problem will be resolved. We are tracking all affected candidates, and will respond when we have resolution.

Thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

Same for me, I passed December 23th. When I contacted Prometric I received the same email in response, in which they thanked me for my continued patience in this matter. I considered this a very serious insult. Further more the email stated that Prometric is tracking all affected candidates
(using their corrupted database?), which I think is just not true. Is there anyone out there who has been contacted by Prometric about this?
Finally the email tells me that they do not know when this problem will be resolved. I think that if you do not know WHEN this problem will be resolved, you actually do not know HOW to resolve this problem. And when you do not know how to do your work, you are ... unprofessional.

Why are you surprised? Just look at how lousy Sun and Prometric's web sites are for supporting its SCEA customers.
Perhaps I have misunderstood where I should have gone and when, and so may have complicated matters for myself. But I don't think so.

same for me! I also didn�t get my certificate yet :-(
After working my ass off this is surely the worst what could happen. Also I have nothing to show my boss.
I have also complained at Sun.

Still now ,I am also not get the certificate from sun,and recently I sent the inquiry to sun,he also returned a mail saying that the problem for new site still exist.
So upwards friends,Can you get the certificate now?

I think that Sun must find a way to deliver the certificates faster!
I'll be very happy if I could pay more to receive my certificate in a couple of days.
Like the Amazon's deliver services... If you want a book faster you pay more for this. Even here, in Brazil, the products arrives in a few days...

I think the fault is caused by Sun ,so we should not afford any more for it, ,What database is the Sun used,how long does it take to migrate the database!!perhpas We should wait one year to wait the kit,god should know,
As I know some one passed the scjd later than me has gotten the certificate kit,why?That is the Sun effenicy.

Same with me too! I passed the exam last month and upon request received the same explanation from sun saying migration issues! It has been a long journey for me, I passed part one way back in 2002 but submitted part2 only this year. Looks like its gonna be another long wait for the kit now :roll:

I had the same issues as everyone else in this thread. I posted a message here yesterday. Surprisingly when I got home from work I received my certificate.

Hi Guys ,
My situation is down right funny , the old Sun's Site indicated that I have successfully completed my assignment and I have passed ( score is under 100%, unlike most of the postings I see here ) , but when I go to the new Sun site it showed me as failed. Two days ago I sent them an email , and now the new site does not even show that I took part 3 .
If Sun wants to be in the education business they must take these issues seriously.

i passed in early december of 2003, still no certificate and the same canned response from sun mentioned earlier. very unprofessional. after all the hard work i put in and the hundreds of dollars spent for the exam!!! We need to organize and draw attention to this. slashdot anyone?

I have removed your posts, as they are not relevant for this forum, and could be very inflammatory.
This forum exists to discuss the SCEA certification. I have allowed the general discussion on why the certification packs have not been sent out for the last few months because it does affect many of the members of this forum.
But this is not the place to discuss Sun's general policies, or the policies of various countries.

Guys,
When I saw this thread I was little concerned about my certificate too because I passed SCEA on 2/29/2004. Surprisingly I got my certificate in yesterday mail which is exactly 10 days after passing the exam.
How come Sun has problem sending certificates to only some of the guys. Doesn't the same database stores all the records for everybody?

Could be by first name "A" ?? So all first names starting with "A" got it ??
That is the most rational explaination to a very irrational situation .

just received confirmation letter from SUN, and they begin send the certification package to me, i wait for totally 4 months since i passed SCEA.

Has anyone used the new

new incident section to enquire about your certificate ??
I created a new incident couple of days ago and no response from them .
May be other must all create a new incident so that they take notice of us .550$ USD is more than half a month's rent !!!

I 've exactly the same problem:
- uploaded the assignment on december , the 13th
- taken the part 3 on dec 20th (2003)
and still no news... three month afer !
Even more: the records of my exam for part3 had been recently removed from the Prometric database. Prometric told me it was a normal cleaning to prepare the database for the actual results, which I'm still waiting.
Very bad ! :-(
I know that Sun/Prometric had had problems for uploading assignments around December the 10th (at that time, the database had been closed for quite a few days).

Dear Sun Educational services
the new incident section on the new certmanager site is being totally ignored . the whole idea of that section is so that we can give a feedback to Sun Educational services . When you create a new incident you are promised that with in 4 business days you will get a reply , but until now I have heard nothing ..... As the technical manager on some high profile projects ( VP s look at it ) when we have issues we post it on the site with an ETA . There is nothing to be shamed of when things do not go as planned , just keep your users informed and set timelines .
