Is a good way to make design choices divided by each module following by Petstore?

Hi folks,
Pestore is a good learning material to help us design our own assignment.I have read it carefully to get design choices for my assignment
design.Because I have no good idea how to make design choices appropriately,
I want to follow the format or say structure made by it,I find that the design choices it made were divided by each module which was produced according to the analysis of the requirements.In each module,design choices made quite detailedly.
So I don't know whether it is a good way to make design choices divided by each module following by Petstore for real assignment?And if it is,how to describe design choices appropriately to a certain details or levels that we should provide to achieve the high marks according to the sun's standards.
Any comments are appreciated.
