The alternative to this question (when is the new exam coming out) seems to crop up in this forum at least once a week.
Basically no one in this forum
knows when the new exam is coming out.
If I had to hazard a guess, then I might
guess that the
earliest a new
beta exam will come out is in 4 or 5 months time. And the earliest the real exam would be 3 or 4 months after that. But these are just guesses about when
I think the earliest timeframes could be.
So if you really want to only do the new exam, and you don't want to do the beta exam (which takes about 3 times longer than a normal exam and takes several months to get your result), then sure, wait for the new exam to be released - but you could be waiting well over half a year or longer.
Or you could do the current exam today, and become a
SCEA. Which won't change even if Sun do bring out a new exam
