Hello All, I am using Rational Rose Enterprise Edition Release Version 2003.06.00.436. I am having trouble showing the Dependency StereoType or Name within a packgage between two collaborating components. For example, I draw a package P on the Component View/Main and then draw two components A and B within it by just clicking on the component icon and drawing these two components within the Package P. Now I draw a dependency link originating from Component A and going to Component B. This works fine. However, when I double click on the dependency link to bring up the specification dialog, it doesn't show up as it does in the class diagram. The link is shown as selected however. The reason that I am trying to do this is that I want to label the dependency link as "uses" or something, i.e., Component A <<uses>> component B. How should it be done in the Rose? Am I oversimplifying things? Any help anyone can provide is appreciated. Thanks. Bharat [ May 22, 2004: Message edited by: Bharat Ruparel ]
You might want to use "Text Box" feature of Toolbox. I know, it is not a conventional way but just a work-around.

Thanks Harish. I arrived at the same conclusion. It is a bit disappointing however to see a tool like Rose lacking in such basic details. Regards. Bharat [ May 22, 2004: Message edited by: Bharat Ruparel ]
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
