does anyone know when Sun will update the SCEA certification? i mean to the
J2EE 1.4 version ..

i've recently passed the SCJP and SCBCD certifications and now i'd like
to get the SCEA certification, as i don't have to much experience as an architect, i guess it could take me about one year(or more) to get ready for this exam, but maybe at that time the SCEA for J2EE 1.4 is released(or a new version), so i don't know if i should study the new features of J2EE 1.4 and apply for the new exam when being the moment, or just start to study now the topics that could be common,(as diagrams and modeling architectures, uml ...) and let the things that could change for later, this is my dude..

Also if a new version of SCEA is planned to be released, i'd like to know
what new features will be in this exam?

can anyone help me where to find this information? or give me information
about it...

Thanks.
Cesar Tg.

Cesar,
I've seen various threads that point to later in the year for a new SCEA format. As far as I know, nobody knows how it will be changed.

As you say, it takes a long time to study (a year or more in your case) all the necessary skills required. I suggest you carry on as if you were taking the current exam. A lot of it will still be relevant.
