I'm due to take the first part of the SCEA on Friday morning. After spending quite a bit of time studying towards it, I was advised to purchase the Whizlabs SCEA Exam Simulator by a colleague who passed the complete certification about a year or so ago. I am now getting quite high scores on the simulator (about 90-100%) but, rather than building me with confidence, this has started to worry me! Is the Whizlabs SCEA simulator too easy (I know I found it very difficult at first)? Has anyone else out there used Whizlabs SCEA simulator to prepare for the first part and did they find it a good learning tool?
My colleague said that if I managed to get a regular grade of 70% on the simulator I would fly through the real exam because the simulator is much harder. If you have used the Whizlabs SCEA simulator I would be very interested to know your opinion - if you haven't used it - well, you won't know!
I have mixed feelings about the Whizlabs product line in general. All the simulators I have used or looked at are chalk-full of spelling errors and misleading grammatical constructs. I've suggested they hire a proof reader to address these issues, but they never seem to take it up. Because I don't like buying products with such obvious bugs, I decided 3-4 months ago to purchase simulators through other companies.
Having said that, the SCEA simulator did prepare me well for Part I.

Darryl,
Thank you for your reply, it is very encouraging to know that someone else used the product and thought that it was worthwhile.
As for the grammer and spelling mistakes, I totally agree. I payed about 90 (UK pounds) for the product and therefore would have thought someone would have spent a little time making sure that the questions are worded correctly. However, compared to some of the other products on the market, this one is not too bad.
