I am a SCJP and SCBCD 1.3. I want to do SCEA, but I have some concerns regarding the EJB version. I heard that SCEA Part 1 covers only the older version of EJB spce.( For Part 2 we can use either 1.1 or 2.0) Will it be very hard for me since I never read 1.1? I have very strong understanding of EJB 2.0.
Please advise. Anish Raj

Anish, if you've already got a strong understanding of EJB 2.0, EJB 1.1 will be very easy for you. While preparing for Part 1, I didn't have to pay much attention on EJB topic because like you, I'd passed SCBCD. This allowed me to focus on other weaker topics.

SCEA focuses more on broad concepts and treat implementation details( such as EJB2.0 vesus EJB1.x) as design decisions. Part I completely excludes EJB2.0 specifics such as local interfaces whereas you have the complete freedom to include such features in your solution for the assignment. Since you already know 2.0 quite well, you shouldn't have any issues.
