Thanks Olexiy. Which one is better? Can you share your experience with them? Any limitations?

Hi Alvin, I've tried a few other tools like Rational rose, ArgoUML and Visual Paradigm. In the end, I settled down with Jude. A list of UML tools Joyce

You should check out Gentleware's Poseidon. It's one of the best UML 2.0 tools out there. The Communitiy Edition is free. http://www.gentleware.com/products/ Another excellent comparisons of UML tools (list 100 tools, unfortunately in german): http://www.jeckle.de/umltools.htm

I use Jude and found it quite easy and suitable for the requirements.

You may also try the EclipseUML Free Edition from Omondo. It is only free for Eclipse 2.1, but you will love it! http://www.omondo.com/product.jsp

I have looked at quite a few of these tools and Enterprise architect is my favourite. It includes comprehensive support for the new UML 2.0 standard and for all 13 UML 2.0 diagrams. You can download a months free trial. The commercial version is good value at only USD189. See: http://www.sparxsystems.com.au [ October 22, 2004: Message edited by: Patrick Cogan ]

I agree with Patrick. I have evaluated the Enterprise Architect and I have compareted it with Rational Rose. We have made the decision to buy it. It is cheaper than Rose. Vagner

Still looking for a nice UML plugin for Eclipse. Together's Eclipse version is 15 days trial and Omondo wouldn't work with Eclipse 3.x! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Omondo just announced a free version that works with Eclipse 3.x. (Or at the very least, I got an email in my Hotmail about it yesterday.)

Thanks Theodore, but surprisingly my Together plugin seems to be working well past the initial 15 days! Now its a direct shoot out between Together and Omondo!
