I want confusion on how to connect Java Application.
I am thinking of
Java Swing Application-->Servlet-->BD-->SF-->EJB
Can i do this way.What will the preformance problem
I have seen in many posts directly connection java applicaton to Business tier via RMI/IIOP.
Can any one help me pros and cons of two solution

Hi,

Answering your question directly would be spelling out the exact design.

All I can suggest is try to weigh out different options against SPASMER:
Scalability, Performance, Availability, Security, Manageability, Extensibility and Reliability.

Against each of the above point, try to see if connecting SWING-WEB or SWING-EJB helps.

Check if any specific performance requirements are mentioned for WEB or SWING app. If yes then which option will be the best one to meet the requirement.

For Performance Client--> EJB is better than Client-->servlet.
But if i use Client--> EJB ,then how can i handle security.Any idea about that.
In design enterprise application book ,they used protocol router(servlet filter,eg signON).I can handle security in a better way.
But i am cluless about Client--> EJB thing.any material on that.
