So frustrating.

After how long it took to actually finish the assignment (I had to stop and start numerous times, and had this pesky getting-married thing in the middle of working on Part II), I was looking forward to getting my grade. Especially when others who took Part III after me (I took it on 28 Jun 05, while at JavaOne) had received their grades, and being the impatient sort, I finally emailed Prometric to find out where my score is.

Turns out they neglected to send it along to an assessor. I'm now following up with them to make sure they've sent it along so I can start the clock ticking on waiting for a grade. Bah. Anyone else have an experience like this?

Still waiting for the Result. What emailid/phone number did you contact prometric.
Let me know and i want to follow up too.

thanks

Well.. I am in the same boat. Uploaded Part 2 on 28th June and gave Part 3 on 30th June. So, I guess we'll have to be patient :-)

I've been emailing them at SunCert@thompson.com and corresponding with their agent Shareon. As of tonight (got a response to my latest inquiry pointing out it's been three business days since they told me to sit tight), they still haven't sent it to the assessor.

I uploaded part-2 on 29-Jun and appeared for Part-3 on 3/Jul. Got the results on 17-Jul

There must be some foulup with their system or something. As it's after business hours for them, I'll bug them again on Monday morning.

Latest answer I've gotten from Shareon at Thomson is that JavaOne delayed the scores around the end of June, and they "expect resolution this week", whatever that means. I'll keep everyone posted.

I uploaded on July 5 and took part III on same day.

So, I guess I need to wait longer after the June backlog gets cleared

Should have clarified - I got this by email right before I posted it here.

My only guess is that this is their way of telling me that my information's been sent to the grader, since I'm not seeing anything on either of the sites with regard to my grade... but they could surely have done something that would be clearer. (Especially since it now looks like Part III took me a month. )

This might be a stupid question, but i7 is now showing that I failed the SCEA... but I can't see anything about it at the Certmanager site with regards to the actual score. Am I looking in the wrong place? (If someone could tell me where to look, I'd appreciate it, at least so I can find out how badly I failed.)

Ideally, you should look only at the CertManager. There have been cases when i7 is not updated properly, specially during the initial stages but is synched up when the CertManager displays the result.

So my take would be that you should still keep your fingers crossed and do not reflect much on i7(btw. where in i7 are you seeing this?)

Hopefully the confusion will be removed in a day or two.

That was what I was thinking too, from having read past threads, but then again, I'm paranoid offline, so who knows. (Or at least, that's what my wife would have me believe... she's out to get me too, you know. )

I saw this under the 'History' link on i7. I've been checking both databases frequently, and the only reason this really came to mind as a possibility of non-simultaneous update of the databases was because I got that email notification regarding Part III yesterday. *shrugs* I'm confused, but that's also not unusual...

I just looked into the i7 tracker and it shows my Part II is pending status.
Does anyone know what this means.
I took by part III first and then PArt II since I did not have the permission to upload PartII and both were a day apart.

The same status is shown for me. I think it is normal since I submitted part II two days before I took part III.

Where are you seeing this? *hoping still that the fail on i7 is just a placeholder since it has no scoring details*

I resubmitted (after some uploading problems). After 4 weeks no result, so I sent a mail to our friend Shareon. Two weeks and two more mails later they discovered that I had been graded, but that Sun had forgotten to update the results. I passed (just).

Well, let me ask it this way, since I'm driving my poor wife crazy with my being mopey about i7 showing that I failed - how will it appear (ie, where?) on CertManager's assignment watcher (the /sun_assignment/ site) so I know to watch for it?

I understand that they're having a few screwups and whatnot, but seriously, this is driving me batty while I'm trying to prepare for another test and Shareon's emails keep thanking me for my patience without giving me any real satisfaction...

Theodore,

You will see the results on the Assignment Watcher (/sun_assignment/). When your results are uploaded, it will be seen when you click on the Test History Button. Currently, u'll be seeing only Part 1 results, Part 2 and Part 3 information will be appended to the same page.

I also suggest not to get overtly anxious on this.. though I must admit that the wait is excruciatingly long. Take your mind off it and the result will come. I have a feeling that it will come very soon for you now that they have started clearing the deck. I gave Part 3 on 30th July, so just a couple of days difference with you.

Excruciating isn't even the beginning of it. *laughs* Considering, as I've mentioned elsewhere, I struggled through it while also working on getting married and a few other things...

As of last night, i7's score for my Part II reverted from 'Failed' to 'Pending', so I'm back into the holding pattern waiting for CertManager to update. Since I took Part 3 on June 28th, it's now been over a month (patience is not one of my virtues, no), but what's really more frustrated me is the fact that Sun and Thomson "forgot" to send it along to the assessor until I said something (see my first post on this thread). That's the main root of my frustration and impatience - I just really hate when folks don't do what they're supposed to, and thereby make me wait longer...

If you can call it "for good" - just got an email from Shareon. Apparently, they just yesterday sent my assignment to the assessor, thirty-one days after I submitted my part II and took part III. I have a few negative things to say about Thomson Prometric at this point, but I'll keep them to myself.

Well, I'll shut up now, I suspect, for the next two weeks.
