After a dismal first attemptI finally passed with a score of 72. I really do not know what to think. I thought that I had understood why I failed first time - namely that I had not presented it in the format approved by Sun. So I redid everything, scrupulously following the example in the Cade book. My class and sequence diagrams both did better, but the component diagram actually lost points! So I guess I am not quite as good as I thought. I must have missed a few things. I think it must have been in the assumptions and in part 3, because my UML seemed fine (to me). Anyway, I passed, which is the important thing. Especially as it is important for me in my job - like it should help me to keep on having one for some time. I feel very admirative of those with scores in the 90s. It would be interesting to know the profiles of those who take the exam: how many are have experience architecting web sites, and how many (like me) are more in the learning phase. It would also be interesting to know the pass rate, though I suppose that is a Sun state secret. I guess those who pass are more likely to post the joyous news in the news groups than those who fail. Good luck to you all, and many thanks.
