This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
As an architect, you are interested in the architecture characteristics of a system. Which two are architectural characteristics? (Choose two) A) Scalability B) Reliability C) Inheritance D) Performance
Hello, What can be the answer??? A B D are probable candidates.......but have to go for 2 only.
***** Does it require some article to be read other than service level requirements?....how are SLR's different than Arch Chara's???
According to Sun: Quotes from SL-425 course: Architecting and Designing J2EE Applications: "Architecture provides high-level planning for software component location and communication to ensure the following: Robustness Performance Scalability" so correct answers are A and D

Robustness is an aspect of reliability which brings (B) back into play. So in still looks like A,B,D - and a junk question.

Hi Akar Rafidj,
Yeah you are right. The exam answer matchs with that too. Is there any consolidated doc to refer for this?

Sorry, but i don't agree with what i have posted myself! Definition of concepts are different between architects....Yes, architects are concerned with performance and scalability but also with predicability, consistency and stability which are all aspects of reliability ! I'll recommand to study "Designing Enterprise Applications with JavaJ2EE second edition", (J2EE blueprints) this's a useful PDF for SCEA part i, II and III.(free download from sun website).
