I just bought UML distilled by Martin Fowler - second edition yesterday. It covers UML 1.3. What is the version required for the exam? Is it ok if I read version 1.3 and go for the exam or is it important to read the exact version covered by the exam. Apart from this book, are there any other resources on the internet for UML that cover SCEA's requirements?

Thanks for your replies in advance

For Part 1, you don't need to know anything beyond UML distilled. However, for part 2, there are many good article on IBM developer works website that would definitely help, look up in google you can find the pointers to it.

Sathish,

It doesnt matter what UML version you use in your assignment. Your solution must be UML compliant, and, any UML version you use, could meet this requirement.

Just pay attemption in notation diferences between the versions. For UML 2.0, there are new diagrams, and some of them have new names, compared with older UML versions.

I preffer to use the UML 2.0, because, the iteration diagrams (sequence, comunication) are a quite easy to create. Specially when you must use some control guidelines as loops.
