As per my opinion, for Beginnners ,
"Learn UML in 24 Hours" Techmedia Publication

is very good book and sufficient for Part I.


After reading this u may have a look at Fowlers book
 
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
