SCEA Part III

Hi All,

I've just uploaded my assignment and booked my test.

I know that everyone says that the test should be easy enough if I did the assignment properly and that there's no need to do any more preparation... but I just want to double check if there is any question I should be prepared to answer. I want to try and be as detailed as possible.

I'm assuming they will potentially ask about:

- How I approached the design.

- Reasoning for design decisions.

- Non functional requirements.

- Explanation of tiers in my design.

Are there any other pointers from anyone, for this exam, on the type of questions asked?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Part 3 exam is very easy, focus on Non functional requirements such as

Session Handling
Scalability
Performance
Transactions
Security
Persistence

Thanks for your help Vijay. Focusing on the non functional requirements really helped.

I just got back from the exam. I did not write a lot as there was not a lot I could write. I just answered and explained each question as best as I could.

It seems that the final marks are going to be more geared towards Part II and not the exam. Let's wait and see.

My impression, taking Part III, was that it was more for verification that you were the person who did the Part II assignment than for some kind of separate grade (though, I do hold out that there's possibly some kind of clarification that is available through Part III for the grader if they're not quite certain what you were doing or aiming for). My basis on this is the fact that there is no grade, truly, given for Part III when you look at the scoring report. So, don't sweat it - if you wrote what you felt was sufficient, I'm certain that it should be fine.
