UML version for part 2

Just wondering if Sun requires a specific version of UML syntax for part 2.

To learn UML I was debating by preparing to either of the UML cert exams the OMG's uml cert (UML 2) and the IBM cert(UML 1). Career wise UML 2 is a smarter move. If part 2 requires UML 1 diagrams, what is the point in learning UML 2.


Oh one last question how respected are the OMG exams in the industry???

As has been stated several times of late (and you could search for it), Sun has not specified a version of UML for your diagrams, so long as they're valid UML. I suspect that either 1 or 2 could be used equally well for the assignment.

With regards to the OMG exams... you're probably best off asking that in the 'Other Certifications' forum. :-\

As to your question on uml certification.
Been around in the industry for a while now. Most palces looked only for good UML handle for Architects basically to convey ideas. Do not recall companies adding too much imporatnce to UML certification,
