question about MagicDraw

I need to draw a sequence diagramm were some methods of an object are invoked several times. When I try to create a message for second invocation of some method MagicDraw complains about "conflict with the existing message".

any ideas how to solve this ?

Write the label directly in the diagram (do not open the properties dialog).

I'm disapointed with Magic Draw. I'm having a problem where every time I open a project, the sequence diagrams images become larger and larger (with a HUGE white space), so, when I edit the same project for about 10 times, some diagram images can not be generated due to out of memory errors.

If you are able, do yourself a favor and use the rational rose.

Best Regards

If you are able, do yourself a favor and use the rational rose.

Rose doesn't support UML 2.0 , at least rose 2003, that's why I am using MagicDraw.

But you are right, considering all hype about MagicDraw, I would expect it to have better quality. I noticed that sometimes an element disapears from a diagramm without a reason although it's still in content tree. Also drawing engine is not so good as in Rose.

I hate magicdraw but I have to use it. So I used some repeatabl lables like "return" and "return." in sequence. Any way, it's for human reading at this time. Just a bad tip for help you a little. This is not your fault

I used trial version of "Enterprise Architect from Sparxsystem" . While saving the image, the back ground of the image reads like " EA6.1 Unregistered Trial Version".

Is it ok for submission of the assignment ?

Why dont you try StarUML? It is not mandatory to use UML 2.0... some people in the forum have passed using this software. It is based on UML version 1.4 and provides eleven different types of diagram, and it accepts UML 2.0 notation.

And, most important: it is free!
