Is shopping cart required?

Hi all,
I have visited some online air booking sites and it seems that they allow only 1 itinerary preparation at a time. If itinerary means a single journey(1 way or 2), this shows that theres no need to consolidate seperate journeys(itineraries) in a cart?
Am I wrong, I am a little bit confused.
Thanks a lot.

Sorry, Murat, but seems that in my assignment I will have to maintain many itineraries per user. The itineraries may vary... some are paid and some are not.

Note that the itineraries may be read without the user explicity log on. Based on cookies for example.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
