I suspect the question would be, how comfortable do you feel with the information as presented in the study guide? That's what really will determine what further you need to read, based on the topics you're not comfortable with.
I would suggest that not knowing the technology already - as you said yourself, primarily being an Oracle person - might be a drawback on the exam. While Part II does not require specific knowledge of Java technologies, it certainly would help in formulating your solution... just something to bear in mind...

Thanks for your reply. I have taken some mock exams an am scoring in the range of 60-70%.
I think Patterns are my weak point. ALl the books/literature I come across is huge and bulky. Could you please let me know what should I refer for Design Patterns?
