Dear SCEA Aspirants,

Thanks for participating SCEA Exam EPractize Labs promotion contest this week. We thank JavaRanch and Jeanne Boyarsky for such a valuable week to meet all you guys.

I have just consolidated few of your queries in the form of FAQ in this message. Apart from JavaRanch winners, EPractize Labs is excited to offer 2 SCEA Exam EPractize Labs to the participants.

We will post the winner details from EPractize Labs after JavaRanchs announcement.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What does SCEA Exam EPractize Labs covers? Part I (theory) or Part II/III (design)? ( by Swami nathan Member # 3534 )
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A: We have separate products for SCEA Part 1 preparation and SCEA Part 2 & Part 3 preparation.

You can find the product components and questions/assignment split-up from the following links.

http://www.epractizelabs.com/scea-exam-part1.html

http://www.epractizelabs.com/scea-exam-part23.html

Apart from set of mock exams EPractize Labs provides review tips for each exam objective and practical examples to understand the concepts. You can revise the concepts by review exam and E&D (examples & development) exam (like flash cards).

Moreover the product components are built based on EPractize Labs - PPA-1 (Plan, Practize, Achieve) methodology. You can set the goals against each exam topic and schedule against each practice sessions within the product.

You can find the questions breakup section to learn more about how PPA-1 components are structured. Also you can download the product and run it in trial mode to learn more about the product components.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How close can I expect the 6 sample assignments to be with the real one I might get on the exam?

I have never worked with JEE business components.
Would you recommend me to get familiar with all JEE concepts before buying this product for good results ? or your product can make good my lack of experience and still let me learn what I need for the certification ?
(Manzar Zaidi Member # 84218 )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A: We are independent company specialized in Skill Development and Skill Evaluation products and no way relate with any other organizations.

The sample assignments empower your practical architecture and design skills required for SCEA Assignment exam using J2EE architecture.

I would recommend you to improve J2EE architecture/design knowledge and go for SCEA certification. J2EE business components (EJBs) and EJB container model are the key topics you should have experience to attend SCEA exam.

You may get the SCEA preparation recommendation from our time calculator at http://www.epractizelabs.com/scea-exam-preparation.html

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can you comment on the subject please? http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=42366
(Salman Khattak Member # 47143 )
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A: The system architect/chief designer is the overall designer and integrator of the application. The responsibility includes creating the overall design architecture and assuring the quality of technical work products delivered by the project team. It includes designs, specifications, procedures and documentation. Some organizations may fill System Architect by the Project Manager.

The solution architect/IT consultant/systems must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills. "Solutions" implies a range of custom-tailored services rather than only off-the-shelf packages.

An Enterprise Architect is someone who designs and builds interactions between multiple solutions in an organisation. They typically exist in organisations that have been around for decades, so therefore have built up literally dozens of legacy systems. They don't really care so much about technology, except at a very high level. Solutions will often be identified by Solution Architects, so they may allocate a Solution Architect to drive further detail on the problem.

Enterprise Architects have a long experience in business as well as in technology areas.
Enterprise Architects must have different capabilities.
Enterprise Architects must play different roles.
Enterprise Architects are familiar with different methodologies & techniques.
 Enterprise Architects are Communicators.

Business Responsibilities
Understanding business objectives and principles
Good sense of business and technical strategy to envision the right enterprise architectural approach to the problem set
Creating visualisations & models, supports decision making
Ability to communicate and mentor others
Selling and leadership qualities

Technology Responsibility
Articulating the Enterprise Architectural vision
Conceptualising and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches
Creating models and component and interface specification docs
Validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions

Q: I have no commercial experience.I passed scjp, scwcd, scbcd by studying from books. Now I plan to give scea.I want to know if the exams provided by epractizelabs will ensure that I pass this certification.I have three months before I can start working and this time I want to use by studying for scea. (Sunjeev Shetty Member # 105205 )
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A: You can achieve the SCEA certification by improving your skills in the area of J2EE architecture/design along with your J2EE components (SCWCD, SCBCD) knowledge. Note that the exam expects the candidates architecture skills based on the given business problem.

EPractize Labs provides practical examples for each exam objective to understand the real-world problems. You need to concentrate more on this area to answer scenario based questions in SCEA Part 1.

You may get the SCEA preparation recommendation from our time calculator at http://www.epractizelabs.com/scea-exam-preparation.html

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I have nearly 7 years experience in JEE application design and development.
I completed the certification in SCJP, SCWCD and SCBCD. My major part of job responsiblity is code development. I am just wondering, how SCEA certification would help me in Job search and in getting higher salary? Please post your views and let me know what would you do if you're in my position?

Q: Hello Ganesan.Does epractizelabs have a test pass guarantee for part 1?
(Sunjeev Shetty Member # 105205 )
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A:We are confident that if you achieve the goals in Exam EPractize Labs, you can clear the exam for sure.

Even though we have not explicitly mentioned about the Money back Guarantee, we still provide the same. All that you have to do is, you have to provide us the scanned copy of your Certification Test Report and EPractize Labs Test Report. The test reports are subjected to further verification if needed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q:Are any books/reading materials that should be used with EPractize labs? If yes what are they?
Swami nathan Member # 3534
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A:We would recommend Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology Study Guide by Mark Cade & Simon Roberts from Sun Microsystems Press.

EPractize Labs provides SCEA study materials in the form of review tips and examples apart from set of mock exams. If you have practical experience in J2EE Architecture and design the product materials are enough to clear SCEA Certification.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q:In your product page there are two editions of the product. The personal and the enterprise editions.

Does the enterprise edition is designed for a specific maximum number of users, or how does the license works? My work team is looking for the certification, and we think that teamwork will make things easier and we can learn a lot more from the different perspectives.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Jaime Tovar Member # 95673
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A:Yes, EPractize Labs enterprise edition is developed for corporate certification training.

It is a client/server model where all the users tracking will be available in the server. It supports a maximum of 30-50 concurrent users depending upon the server configuration.

You can find the features of Exam EPractize Labs Enterprise Edition at http://www.epractizelabs.com/exam-epractizelabs-flow.htm

Please suggest me as how I can use your E-Practice Labs material.
