I passed the part I of the SCEA!
I actually found it very very hard! I now REALLY think that the best perparation for this exam is true and vast real-world hands on experience. I had some experience for topics like legacy connectivity, Internationalization, web-tier technologies and design patterns; but I had not much experience in topics like EJB nor messaging, so I had a hard time at them. Also, some questions seemed a little ambiguous, so, the exam was not a party for me...

Well, I have some questions regarding parts 2 and 3. Basically, about the technologies. I'd like to use this oportunity to get into EJB 3.0, JSF and Ajax. My questions: is it possible to use some non-J2EE like ajax technologies in the assignment? Does the assignment include coding the app? Is it possible to use EE 5 intead of J2EE 1.3?

Thanks for everything my fellow ranchers!
Regards
XM
