Could someone tell me the books/resources to follow for the following topics:

Common Architectures
Legacy Connectivity
Protocols
Messaging
Internationalization
Security

I saw most of the posts concentrating only on:
SCEA book
Design Patterns
EJB
UML

Sorry if I am missing something. I am just getting started on this.

You might want to get Mark Cade's SCEA Certification Guide. It is not very detailed, but it covers all topics and is one of the books that is useful for all the certification steps.

For further reading, it is also good doing some internet research for useful articles. There are some good SCEA preparation notes like "Ramu's notes", searching this forum should give you the pointers how to get them. Personally, it also helped me a lot for part one to practice the Whizlabs exam, it also contains a brief overview over the topics in part 1 which was helpful.

Hi,
I would also vouch for the whizlabs exam and Mark cades guide for the SCEA exam preparation.
This forum is probably the best !!!
