This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I find this certification interesting, but would like to seek some advice from SCEAs.
In my domain of work, it is unlikely I will ever use JavaBeans. Given that and the fact that SCEA is weighted in favour of JavaBeans, what is the value in getting this certification? I can see UML, Design Patterns and the exercise of architecting a system as being interesting.
Would the IBM Architect certification come anywhere close to SCEA?
