Is SCEA Part -1 also concentrate on J2EE design pattern or only its focus to GOF pattern, I got confused because of some questions from test exams.

Please suggest, as per my understanding its only GOF for part 1.

AFAIR there are only GoF patterns.
Enterprise pattens a.k.a. core j2ee patterns could/should be used in assignment. These patterns are also in scope of SCWCD exam.

Well, if my memory doesn't trick me, I remember I had a question concerning J2EE-patterns.

Thanks for the inputs, to be on the safer side I would quickly browse the J2EE pattern as well before writing Part -1.

Get Head First Design Patterns book. It's a much better read than the GoF. Also they have a poster, which is helpful to look at.

You should also know the patterns from the Web Component Developer cert: Business Delegate, DAO, etc.

In case you do have some experience in design just get the Cade study guide. It contains enough to know about Patterns if you know enough about what situations a certain way of coding is applied and just need the "official" name for it.
Afterall a Proxy or a visitor is nothing fancy or special, it's just a specific name for a common sense solution to a re-occuring problem.

If you need more use the Head First on design patterns, but stay away from GoF unnles you really want a hard read!

For SCEA Part 1, the questions will only be limited to 23 GOF Patterns

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
