Hi,

What EJB version? 2.x?
If you intend to take SCBCD 1.3 exam I recommend Head First EJB - that will put all you need to know straight on your brain! In addition, the definitive book for J2EE patterns is the Core J2EE Patterns - 2nd edition one. Also take the EJB Design Patterns. Any book on GoF patterns is also good. I would recommend HF Design Patterns if you're new to the subject.

Also Mastering EJB 4th edition (EJB 3.0) is a good way to go if you wanna go for the most updated version. However if you go this direction, J2EE Patterns would be obsolete, because most of the patterns in there go well for EJB 2.x, but does not fit for 3.0 which is much simpler!

Good luck!
