When can i find out the difference between a applet either depending on to be SIGNED to be able to READ property files or applets depending on the BROWSER to be able to READ the same propertie files...??

I dind't understant this although I know that applets need to be signed to either READ property files or communicate to other machines/hots...when does the browser implicate here?

Tks in advance!! ;-)

Browsers run with user permissions, so they can access most every file on the user's computer. But that has nothing to do with what the applet sandbox allows the applet to do.

Where is this property file located - on the server where the applet came from? If so, the applet can get at it without being signed.
