hi all

I saw the link for the books recommended by Sun for the new certification. Is there a standard study guide that I can use to prepare for this exam? And any mock exams yet ?

Thanks,
Usha Shah

Books usually take about 8 months to go from manuscript to book shelves. Seeing that the exam hasn't even been released yet, you may be asking a tad too much. I'm not putting down your enthusiasm though.

I think MZ is working on some free notes. I'll try to get my SCEA5 Certification Guide out by the end of the summer.

Sorry, Cameron. I don't have plans to update SCEA 5 notes any more (which were published during SCEA 5 Beta Part 1 period). And currently they cover about 10% of exam objectives.

So, if you plan to write your own notes - it's all yours

regards,
MZ

Hi Folks,

If we keep the EJB 3.0 and JSF related things, For the rest of the things Mark Cade book and Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java EE Study Guide is not sufficient for the SCEA5.0 exam?

Add in your list:

http://www.amazon.com/J2EE-Architects-Handbook-Derek-Ashmore/dp/0972954899

It's too good.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
